What is Invisalign®?
Invisalign® treatment, also known as clear aligners, uses a series of custom-made, nearly invisible plastic trays that fit snugly over your teeth. The trays gently and discreetly shift your teeth into the planned position over time. Each set of aligners is made for your specific alignment needs and goals. The aligners are held in place by the contours of your teeth and by small, barely visible tooth-coloured attachments that apply precise pressure. Because the aligners are removable, you can eat, drink and keep up your regular oral care routine. Invisalign® treatment typically lasts between 9-15 months, though some patients may notice improvements sooner. For treatment to work as planned, it is recommended that you wear the aligners for 20-22 hours daily and switch to a new set every two weeks. Because they are transparent, the aligners are hard to notice during treatment. Once treatment is complete, the attachments are removed.
What Conditions Can Invisalign® Treat?
